Adjuvant medications for locoregional therapy. Aspirin appears to be hepatoprotective after embolization of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Hemangioma perfusion Liver perfusion imaging. Liver perfusion parameters estimated from triphasic CT can quantitate the increase in hepatic artery perfusion in hepatocellular carcinoma, and the decrease in portal perfusion with cirrhosis. They can also be used to classify liver lesions, predict response to radioembolization, and predict survival after TAE.

Cryoablation planning Cryoablation planning. We developed a planning tool that can accurately predict the size of the ice ball, and determine the optimal probe spacing and ablation time.

Reducing artifacts in CT scans. Patented method (MDT) for reducing metal artifacts in CT scans, which improves image quality in 86% of scans, and improves diagnosis in 14% of scans. This software has been successfully used on thousands of patients in more than 160 hospitals, including MGH, MD Anderson, and Stanford.

Claripacs - Annotate and share radiology studies on the web. Features include interactive multimedia radiology reports, screen share, and image analysis. 100,000 users have viewed 10 million images on Claripacs. Collaborators: Bao Do and Michael Muelly.
